Worcester Victorian Fair, one of the city’s most successful & busy event of the year with 150 stalls around the streets & with thousands of visitors coming in to the city till late in the evening. Our crafts & gifts fair is situated at the beautiful Guildhall in the centre of the city on the High street. We have 26 tables with a variety of gifts & crafts.
All are invited to join us to celebrate the start of the event followed by the traditional procession to the Cornmarket carousel.
The eagerly anticipated Christmas Lantern Parade is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Starting at Cathedral Square at 6pm, the parade will make its way to The Hive spreading Christmas cheer along the way. Bring your own lanterns that you made at our Lantern Making Workshops and add your light and help illuminate Worcester City centre. To welcome you back to The Hive there will be a performance from the fantastic Rock Choir.
Visit our stunning display of 100 decorated Christmas trees lining the medieval cloister. The trees are decorated by local businesses, charities, schools and organisations. The festival is FREE to visit. Please leave a donation in one of the barrels. Vote for your favourite tree from our shortlisted finalists on the Cathedral website.
The Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre takes place from Thursday 29 November to Sunday 2 December. Hailed as the leading Victorian themed street market in the Midlands, it is set to be bigger and better than ever before, as the streets of Worcester City Centre are filled with the harmonious sounds and enticing scents of Christmas. Christmas is magical for children and adults alike, and at this years fayre there will be something for all ages to enjoy, making it the perfect setting for a family day out. Stallholders and entertainers will be dressed in traditional Victorian costume, making you feel like you have just walked through a time machine. Kick start your Christmas shopping with the huge amount of stalls to choose from, whilst the children enjoy a ride on the carousel and are whirled around to the sound of the traditional barrel organ music playing from the heart of the ride! The stalls will be selling a wide range of Christmas products as well as jewellery, homewares, and lots of lovely handmade items. Quality gift and craft stalls all under cover. Mince pies and mulled wine and other refreshments available. On Saturday hear our choirboys busking, listen to a free lunchtime recital by a Gospel Choir, and browse the Young Enterprise stalls in College Hall.
